Concentrate for dilutions from 1+25 to 1+200. This developer is manufactured according to the last known Agfa RODINAL original recipe. It uses selected, post-treated raw materials and the recipe is absolutely identical. As far as we know, this statement cannot currently be applied to any other para-aminophenol-based developer on the market that was manufactured after 2010.

RODINAL is the oldest photochemical patent in the world. The concentrate has an almost unlimited shelf life - even if the bottle slowly changes color after opening. Once prepared, ADONAL must be used up quickly, as it quickly loses effectiveness at dilutions above 1+25. There are development instructions circulating from the last century according to which an ADOX 25 ASA film in Rodinal 1+200 would climb to a miraculous 400 ASA after 3 days of stand development, but we think that every chemist would banish this theory to the drawer of curiosities.

ADONAL/RODINAL differs slightly from APH09/R09 in that it has a slightly improved grain size.

ADONAL/RODINAL also uses more expensive raw materials, which is reflected in the selling price.
